Replaced my earlier generation Precor treadmill

Love the new treadmill. It seems easy on the knees and extremely smooth to walk or run on. The display is easy. I really like the different interval training suggestions. Really enjoying it and really glad we got this model.

4.5 stars - Awesome treadmill - Display needs work

I upgraded to the TRM 445 after wearing out the 945 I bought in the late 90s.

The Good:
1. Solid running platform that's quiet & feels great to run on.
2. Preset courses that you can customize for variety & save as favorites for quick access.
3. Reliable, maintenance free & sleek looking

The Bad: The display has minor annoyances that aren't deal breakers but I figured I'd leave feedback in case that helps with future models.
1. I jog in my home theater & would prefer a nice dim-able red hue display. Instead I have the brightest blue imaginable so I cover it with a towel and I kid you not, I can read it through the towel. It's like getting free Lasik.
2. The Display must use the slowest CPU they could find... This isn't a deal breaker as you don't need to mess with it much once you've used the treadmill a while, but when you are new & browsing the menu for available options it's painful.
3. Per User stats... This thing should keep a total of miles ran so we can compare over time but instead it just shows a completely useless 1 week summary.
4. My hand-grip heart rate has never worked. Replaced the display, had a tech come out & replace the wiring... Works for a day or 2 & then quits altogether.
